Flea Market Rx for Becker Studios

Introducing the Flea Market Rx for Becker Studios Lighting Collection of table lamps, floor lamps, wall sconces and chandeliers. Designed in collaboration with the incredibly talented dynamic duo Kirsten & Darrell Becker of Becker Studios, the line presents an exciting aesthetic departure and new direction for Flea Market Rx.

Becker Studios is a luxury residential interior design, construction & real estate development firm in Santa Barbara, California. In early fall 2015, I was approached by the Beckers to produce a few light fixtures for The Mill, their latest commercial development project. Then most unexpectedly, they commissioned a full line of custom light fixtures for use throughout their residential projects, as well as to sell through their newly opened retail design outlet Millworks at The Mill.



But there was catch ... they wanted Flea Market Rx craftsmanship, distinctive detailing & signature patinas ... but elevated. The design brief read "less rustic, more elegant; less industrial, more modern".

I left my aesthetic comfort zone and haven't looked back. The result? A classic, refined and enduring lighting collection that modernizes vintage, reimagines simplicity, all while honoring the Flea Market Rx commitment to heirloom quality, handcrafted, vintage inspired designs. I like to call the sensibility "vintage inspired ... with one foot out the door".
